It starts with the right people
Sourced from families who buy well
Our pieces come from Vancouver-area families who invest in designer and heritage children's brands, and from boutiques clearing a past season. Unworn pieces that still carry their original tags are listed in our Past Season collection. We know who every item came from, and we pay families on the spot when we buy their pieces, so they can trust us and we can trust what we bring in.
Handled by people who know the brands
We have handled thousands of pieces from more than 400 children's labels, from Bonpoint, Jacadi and Il Gufo to Tinycottons, Bobo Choses and Stella McCartney Kids. Over the years we have learned how each one is made: the weight of the cotton, the way a label is woven, where the care tag sits and what the buttons feel like.
Our authenticity check
Each item is examined by hand before it is accepted. We look at:
- Labels and tags: brand label, care and content tags, size format and country of manufacture, compared with known examples from the same brand and season.
- Construction: stitching, seams, linings, finishing and fabric weight.
- Hardware and trims: buttons, snaps, zips and embroidery.
- Provenance: who the piece came from. Pieces bought from boutiques are matched to the boutique's invoice before they are listed.
If anything doesn't add up, we don't list it.
Our cleanliness promise
Children wear what we sell, so clean is not optional. Every piece is inspected under good light for stains, pilling, odours and loose seams, then laundered or steamed and pressed before it is photographed. It is folded, wrapped and stored in labelled boxes until it ships to you. Read our condition standards to see exactly what Pristine w/Tags, Excellent and Good mean.
Our operation
Every item gets its own SKU and barcode when it comes in. We record its brand, size, condition, estimated original retail price and the box it is stored in, so it can be found, packed and shipped quickly. Nothing is listed until it has been checked, priced and photographed.
How we price
We start from what the piece cost new, then set a fair resale price based on:
- Estimated original retail: the brand's price for that item, shown on every listing so you can see your saving.
- Condition: Pristine w/Tags, Excellent or Good, each with its own share of retail.
- Brand and demand: how sought-after the label and style are, and how quickly similar pieces sell.
- Our own sales history: years of real sale prices across hundreds of brands, so prices are consistent from one piece to the next.
The same price book sets what we pay families, so sellers get a clear, consistent offer and shoppers get a consistent price.
